Teaching Experience

Christine trained originally as a secondary school teacher in English, French, German, History. She has since completed studies in Teaching English as a Second Language, Literacy and in Primary School Education .

Her qualifications include:

• Master of Education in Literacy

• Bachelor of Education – Literature and Special Needs

• Graduate Certificate of TESOL (Teaching English to Students of Other Languages)

• Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training

Her teaching experience includes:

• English Language Teacher, Centre for Macquarie English, Macquarie University, North Ryde (northern Sydney)

• Academic English Teacher, Charles Sturt University, Sydney

• English Language Teacher, Martin College, Sydney

• English Language Teacher with IELTS preparation, Stella Maris College, Manly

• English/Literacy Support Teacher – St Ignatius’ College, Riverview and St Joseph’s College, Milperra

• Teacher of English and other Humanities subjects – St Augustine’s College, Sydney

• Dean of Students (Acting), Martin College, Sydney

Marking experience

Christine has had extensive experience as a marker for the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC), the School Certificate, English Language and Literacy Assessment (ELLA), Primary Schools Writing Competition (PWA), Australasian Schools Writing Competition (ASWC).

Adult training

Christine is a qualified workplace trainer and assessor and has trained adults to be literacy tutors in primary schools. She also has experience in preparing adults for the Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
